From Clutter to Clean

From Clutter to CleanYou have been given family history pictures that have been handed down for years. They pile up in folders, boxes, bags, and old binders. The quantity or disorganization keeps you from digging into these priceless documents. You know your family history is located in them, but you have been unable to unlock the mystery because of the clutter.
Our five steps can move your clutter to clean. Your pictures will be accessible and ready to use.

Five Steps to Clean
1. Collect all your pictures and place them together. Go to the garage, basement, office, and bedroom. Pull everything you have out.

2. Sort, sort, and sort again. Sort the pictures in two piles. One pile for mom’s side and one pile for dad’s side. Sort by decade. Sort by year.

3. Write on an index card all the information you know about each picture. Note guesses for people and years.

4. Place pictures in a tub or box to be scanned.

5. After scanning, place pictures in a binder for easy access.
